Pomade

Our unorthodox water-based pomade (or hair paste, if you prefer) contains just the right blend of natural ingredients to give you the perfect hold for your perfect look. And we engineered this unique product without resorting to unsustainable palm oil, an excess of petroleum-based ingredients or animal products.

With a medium hold that washes out easily without leaving an oily residue, and ingredients that are great for your hair—including Aloe Vera, Avocado Oil, Cocoa Butter and Coconut Oil—your hair will look and feel superb.

We've also included bentonite clay to give our pomade a slightly matte finish.

To use, put a bit of pomade in your hand and rub your palms together to activate. Apply to hair and style as needed. Add a touch of water to your hair to restyle.

Our Ingredients (where they're from & why they’re there):

Distilled Water
A natural base for all the other active ingredients.

Pine Resin
A resin used to bind your hairs together while maintaining their pliability as you shape your look or refresh it throughout the day.

Candelilla Wax
A natural wax that helps protect your hairs while also moisturizing the skin beneath them. Candelilla wax is an animal-friendly—and superior—alternative to beeswax.

Emulsifying Wax (Cetyl Stearyl Alcohol, Polysorbate 60)
A vegan emulsifying agent that helps the oil and water ingredients mix together..

Aloe Vera Juice
Contains antioxidants, enzymes and vitamins to help strengthen your hair and nourish your scalp.

Stearic Acid
Used as a thickener.

Coconut Oil
One of the best moisturizers around; hydrates without leaving your skin and hair feeling oily.

Vegetable Glycerin
An all-purpose moisturizer compatible with all skin and hair types.

Soy Lecithin
A non-greasy emulsifier, which allows the oil and water ingredients to mix.

Kudzu Root Starch
Added to improve the pomade’s texture and provide stability

Cocoa Butter
Helps moisturize and soften hair while reducing frizz.

Avocado Oil
High in monounsaturated fats and vitamin E, it’s a rapidly-absorbed, healthy oil that also enhances the absorption of other nutrients.

Xanthan Gum
Used to provide hold without stickiness or stiffness.

Bentonite Clay
Provides the pomade with a matte texture.

Guar Gum

Phenoxyethanol [source: petroleum, natural mineral deposits (although it’s also found naturally in green tea and chicory)], Caprylyl Glycol [source: coconut palm tree] These two are used in very small amounts as a preservative. Without them you'd have to refrigerate your pomade to prevent the growth of mold and bacteria.
